I was born and raised in Western Pennsylvania but I have spent most of my adult life in Eastern Massachusetts. After working 27 years as a software engineer, I began a second career as a nature photographer in 2005. I strive to create images of birds and wildlife that have an aesthetic and/or emotional appeal that transcends their role as natural history documentation. Publication credits include National Geographic, Audubon, Nature’s Best, and Big Backyard. My passion for photography is rivaled only by my passion for teaching photography.
