Nate was born in 1968 in Washington state. From an early age he was very interested in birds. His father and mother were both amateur photographers and in his 20's Nate became interested in photographing the many birds he had seen. Nate has now photographed over 1,100 species of birds in the Americas, Africa, Asia and Europe and seen over 3,000 species. He met his wife Angie in Ecuador 10 years ago and now they split time between Texas and Ecuador. Through his company, Trogon Tours, Inc. Nate leads nature photos tours and workshops in the US, Ecuador and throughout the world. He is known as an excellent and patient instructor. In his photography he strives to capture not only the beauty of his avian subjects but also as often as possible their behavior. His award winning photography has been widely published.
