Richard lives in North-West England and fits his obsession for bird and wildlife photography around his full time job as an Environmental Consultant. He is fortunate to live on a pennisula which is bordered by two estuaries that are important for wading bird species and so has a wealth of local photographic opportunities. His main passion is bird photography and he has accumulated a large library of images from around the UK and from recent trips to Arctic Norway, Mallorca and Hungary.
His work has been recognised through success in a number of competitions that have been run by the BBC, British Birds Journal, Airbus, National Trust and British Wildlife Photography Awards. His work has also been published in a number of magazines and books.
